The Türk Telekom Arena – a multifunctional stadium for the football club Galatasaray Istanbul in the European part of the Turkish metropolis. . The stadium – classified according to UEFA: 5 Star / Elite Stadium – has 52,500 spectators, 150 boxes, is planned with a movable stadium roof and has an underground garage with over 3,000 parking spaces. A special challenge was the difficult topography with differences in height of up to 60 metres. These conditions required complex measures, especially for the large main columns supporting the roof. The stadium was officially opened in 2011 with an impressive multimedia show followed by a friendly match against Ajax Amsterdam in Istanbul.
