Project Description

The Hotel Park Novum offers a centrally located residential location for business people in the trade fair city of Dusseldorf as well as Cologne. A hotel with 100 rooms, a conference and wellness area is being planned in the North Rhine-Westphalian blade and knife town of Solingen. The business hotel of the 4-star category is located in the immediate vicinity of Solingen’s main railway station. Located halfway between Cologne and Dusseldorf, the hotel is tailored to business people from both trade fair cities. The integration of the building into the small-scale environment is achieved by staggering the building in height and the three-part structure in its length. A characteristic element of the courtyard façade is the south-facing windows that can be folded out of the façade. The ground floor rotates out of the building and attracts visitors into the lobby with this gesture. The restaurant on the ground floor opens out into the courtyard with a garden terrace.
