Training center for the cyclists of tomorrow
At the start of the new school year, the Youth Traffic School in the west of Stuttgart was ceremoniously opened. The new facility replaces Germany’s first youth traffic school on Diakonissenplatz.
From now on, children from Stuttgart’s elementary schools will learn how to ride their bikes safely through the city on the outdoor course and in the classrooms in the single-story wooden building. We were on site with the management and project architects to hand over the building to the users together with the Mayor of Stuttgart, Dr. Clemens Maier, the Minister of Transport, Winfried Hermann, Ms. Scherz from the Office of Public Order and the Stuttgart Police Commissioner, Franz Lutz.
The design of the new home for the training of tomorrow’s cyclists focuses on aesthetic and ecological aspects in order to create a stimulating environment for learning.
